Nicheitah consists of a collection of six islands named the Circlet Isles. The islands sit in a an oval-shaped ring, and to follow it round clockwise from twelve o'clock the islands sit - Wissnane, Krokith, Weskain, Vistack Elsash, Nithos and Cerforden.
Wissnane
The isle of Wissnane is predominantly covered by a forest named the Daenis Taran (Forest of the Dae). It is here that most of the Creatures of Dae, and in respect the Derandera, reside.
Most of the cost around Wissnane is difficult to access, consisting of steep cliffs and rocky outcrops. Only three ports serve as gateways to the island - Paliwae in the North-East, Nakowae in the East and Torwae in the South-East. Although there is passage through the northern mountain range of Norkian, the southern range, Teskian, is virtually impassable.
The majority of settlements can be found inland alongside rivers (indicated by the suffix 'fea' meaning 'water'), but a few are found in forested areas, serviced by wells (suffix 'tara' meaning 'wood'). Those with the suffix 'kia' ('stone') are found in the foothills of the mountain ranges.
A large canyon, carved by rivers, swoops across the island, curving from North-North-West to East.
Wissnaneans do not hunt wild animals or fish through fear of angering the Creatures of Dae. Instead all meat is either imported (something that happens very rarely nowadays as the Monarchy has tried to restrict boats travelling to the island), or from domesticated animals such as chickens and pigs.
Due to the large amount of forest, there is little room for large fields (save on the floodplains of the river surrounding Linfea), so the majority of vegetal sustenance comes from the wild or from small, home-organised patches.
Wissnane has no official capital city, but Marokia in the north is the largest and most in favour with the mortals. The monarchy holds most sway in this city.
Smaller is the town of Rekentara in the north-west, favoured by the Derandera for its association with the Narritchsans.

Krotkith
Krokith is a bit of an odd place with some pretty odd people. Not many settlements litter the island, with many of the inhabitants prefering a secretive nomadic lifestyle. Krokith is often the butt of all joke in Nicheitah, for instance, if one were to enquire to a Cerfordanian what could be worse than a rotten mulberry patch, they would reply 'a rotten mulberry patch in Krokith of course' and then proceed to pelt you with a sack of potatoes for even asking the question in the first place! (A mulberry is considered the most evil of berries on Cerforden).
The lake to the north is underlain by a strange purple rock that seems to tint the water like amethyst (in fact, the name Fean Riten translates as 'Lake Purple'). Legend has it is that if you drink from the very central depths of the Fean Riten then you will gain immortality, though none have succeeded in reaching this point due to the whirlpools and eddies that litter the lake. The northern Ritenkian ('Purple Mountains') are made of this same rock type, though this is often covered by snow.
Thirteen years before this date, a raid was unleashed upon the tribes of Krokith, for the monarchy was growing suspicious of their secrecy. Any Derandera found among their ranks were murdered, as well as those that defended them, but after establishing that overall the tribes were relatively harmless (living under rules of nature), they were left alone. Even still, the King is wary that their presence is not what it seems and often sends embassies to keep an eye on them.
There is an old temple on the island that once served as a place of pilgramage from all over Nicheitah. It was built in the respect of the Dae, but has since fallen into disuse due to the campaigns issued against the Dae. It is now forbidden to trek to this place.
Due to the large areas of wilderness, the monarchy often use areas of Krokith (particularly in the South-East) for training of troops. They also own a summer home in the South-West, but nowadays this is rarely used.
The island is also reknowned for its innovative approaches to cooking with fish.

Nithos
Nithos is dominated by pastoral moorland in the north, and a circular mountain range to the south (the crater of an ancient volcano). In the mountain range (named the Guardian Range) are several mining areas which the inhabitants of the island exploit and export to the rest of Nicheitah. Smaller temporary settlements are constructed around the mines to avoid long journeys.
There is also a large sheep population on the island, due to the soil being too poor for agriculture, providing a main form of subsistance through dairy and lamb. The island is reknowned for its colourful rugs, made from sheeps wool and ochres mined from the mountains. Wool and dairy are also exported from the island.
Other forms of subsistence for inhabitants include fish, hare, bird and imports of flour-based products from Cerforden.
Nithos is also home to the Daelanis, based in Lannith within the circle of the mountains. The range was rennamed Guardian Range from Nithkian in their honour (as was the Nithkian Taran renamed Lan Forest), part of the Monarchy's attempts at abolishing sites that honour the language of the Dae. Lannith is the only permanent settlement within the mountain range.
The capital of Nithos is the port of Nithwae on the eastern coast.

Cerforden
Cerforden is predominantly agricultural land with a bit of a swamp stuck in the middle. The majority of Nicheitah's wheat, grain and large-scale farming comes from this island. The three major towns are Fordwae, Luddfea and Bordencer, with other marked settlements being small farming villages. Fordwae is a large port, mostly manned by merchants and royal administrators, whilst Luddfea and Bordencer are inland towns owned by important families of the same name. Often they compete in flamboyancy to see who can out-do the other.

Note - beware of mulberries from the swamps of Cerforden. They might sneak up and attack you in your sleep.
